Mira: Pros & Cons

The primary benefit of Mira is its lab-grade accuracy. This provides users with results that are reliable, trustworthy, and free from inconsistencies. Not only that, but Mira is proven to be able to detect a wider range of hormone levels. For example, studies show that Mira can detect up to 240 mIU/ml of LH and up to 30 μg/ml of PdG in urine, while Proov can only detect up to 50 mIU/ml of LH and 7 ng/ml of PdG. 

This heightened sensitivity and accuracy make Mira a good choice for those struggling to predict ovulation due to conditions causing hormone imbalance and/or irregular cycles.

Proov: Pros & Cons

The main downside of the Proov Predict & Confirm™ Kit is accuracy. This is due to the requirement that a photo must be taken of the test strips in the Proov app, and factors such as lighting and camera quality can interfere with the recorded results. There is also limited flexibility within the app to account for longer cycles, which can also negatively impact accuracy for cycles lasting longer than 35 days. 

Final Thoughts

If you have a regular cycle and you just want to predict ovulation with reasonable accuracy, the Proov Predict & Confirm™ Kit may be a good cost-effective choice – at least in the short term.
