The Mira App: What is my ‘Fertility Score’ and how does it work?
The Mira App is designed to help you stay on top of your fertility journey.
Similar to checking the weather in the morning, you can now check your daily fertility (i.e. ovulation) status.
The Fertility Score, a number ranging from 1 to 10, can be easily found on the app’s homepage.
But what does it mean?
We have created the Fertility Score to help you understand your fertility level during each cycle, enabling you to plan intercourse or insemination accordingly.
Here is a simple translation:
Fertility Scores | Ovulation Status | Fertility Status | Chance of conception |
1-5 | Non-ovulatory days | Non-fertile window | Unlikely, but not impossible. The chances of pregnancy after intercourse/insemination are low. |
6-8 | 3 days before or 2 days after ovulation | Fertile window | Intercourse/insemination can lead to pregnancy. |
9-10 | Ovulation is likely to happen within 24 hours | Most fertile days | Intercourse/insemination during the next 24 hours has the highest chance of pregnancy during a cycle. |
But how does the Mira App predict the score?
When you initially start using the Mira App, your Fertility Score is predicted based on the cycle information that you enter into the app. That is the only data that Mira knows about you.
However, once you begin testing your hormones with the Mira Kit and logging other data such as BBT (Basal Body Temperature), your Fertility Score will be adjusted.
Your Fertility Score is a dynamic score, meaning that each new log and hormone test can influence your predicted Fertility Score. That’s why it’s normal for the score to fluctuate during your cycle.
The best part?
The more you use Mira, the more accurate your predictions will be. This is backed up by research that shows Mira’s ability to predict ovulation improves with each new test and cycle.
Note: Your Fertility Score is not a medical diagnosis. It is simply an AI evaluation of your fertility status. If you ever notice concerning results, we always recommend consulting with your doctor. You can download your personal Mira App Report (Profile > App Report) to share with your doctor. This report provides a comprehensive picture of your cycle dynamics.
In doubt about your test results in the Mira app? Remember that you can always share them with one of our certified Fertility Coaches. They will help you understand your Mira charts and values.
